Recently, i came across Gary Vaynerchuk and he makes a very simple point about, do you want to be sucessful or do what you are doing right now? for example - when i am watching tv, i am making a very simple choice and i am declaring that i enjoy watching tv more than being succesful and growing my company. Whenever, i am not sleeping or with my wife/son, i want to work, its not an obligation, its not needed to make living, its what i enjoy, its what gives me peace & satisfaction. For me personally, i have a very long term goal, which keep my thinking straight.

I am going to comment without reading anything so its true, honest & unbiased. u/layover_guy made a great point on having long-term vision, and actively/consciously choosing what's important. Sort of counter intuitive, but it makes sense. Taking short breaks in between tasks is a great suggestion for maintaining focus and inspiration. There truly is no way for someone to work for 8+ hours, or even 2+ hours, with no breaks and still maximize both actual output and creativity. Many of you mentioned taking scheduled breaks to prevent mid-day burnout. Three of my favorite suggestions from the thread: It's people like you all who encourage and assist others in becoming their best selves and I sincerely thank everyone for their thoughts on this.

Please share your tools, ideologies, thought patterns, etc. How do you go about devoting so much time to your projects? I'm curious how you develop the mindset, the neural pathways, the grit. My question is, how do you manage to do this? Motivation? Discipline? Both? Somehow, they're are able to crank out seemingly endless hours of high quality work even when they're tired from the endless distractions of life outside the business. I'm heavily interested in the psychology of successful entrepreneurs.
